Thunder Bay Police are hoping the squeaky wheel will get the grease.
Police Board Chair Georjann Morriseau wrote the provincial government in April pleading for guns and gangs funding.
Morriseau calls the need for money to battle drug traffickers from Toronto, substantial.
She is asking the Ministry of the Solicitor General to provide guidance, funding and help to keep Thunder Bay safe.
“I remain positive in that we will continue to see more support come from the province,” Morriseau said.
