WATCH: How Do You Hit the Water?

With the hot temps we’ve had this week, lots of people have been finding the closest available body of water to cool off in.

It got me wondering, what’s your method of entry into the water?

There’s a couple of lines of thought: The Slow Approach vs. The All-In.

Do you walk-in tentatively, or slowly descend the ladder (favourites of the “I don’t want to get my hair wet!” crowd.) Or, do you get right in there? Dive, Cannonball, or the classic Nestea Plunge?

I give the advantage to The All-In. There’s no going back. Guaranteed that you’re going to swim, and not chicken out!

The Tbaytel Talk & Text Line lit up today. Here’s a couple of the responses:

Melissa: I take it slow and easy. Dip a toe, and if it’s cold, I won’t go!

Joan: All about the dive! Have to work on that form in case I ever get called on for the Olympics!

Jocko: If I have something high to jump off of, I will try to pull off a gainer. Heavy emphasis on “try”!

J-FO: I liked to practice my wrestling moves on my little brother off the dock into the water. Also, THE DOCK SPIDER DASH! (Everyone turns into an All-In person when one of those comes their way!)

What’s your method of getting in the water? For you Cannonballers, here’s some tips on how perfect your form and get the biggest splash possible!!!
