CERB Announcement Could Come This Week

The federal government expects to make an announcement about the future of the Canada Emergency Response Benefit.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he understands people are worried they may not be able to make ends meet.

“For now all I can say is we will continue to be there to support Canadians in need and people can be reassured that we will continue to be there,” Trudeau said.

The Prime Minister expects he will be able to make an announcement soon about extending the CERB program past July.
