Monday is the dawn of a cautious new day for a local chiropractor office as it reopens, with restrictions imposed due to COVID-19.
Northwoods Health Centre owner Kristina Peterson tells us with physical distance measures and limiting how many people are allowed in, she’s been busy making sure patients are ready.
“We’ve been communicating with our patients already, and posting messages on our Facebook page and our website, to try to keep people informed and up to date with what’s required of them when they come,” says Peterson.
The provincial government told her recently she could open the centre, which includes massage therapy, a nutritionist and kinesiology.
The rigorous plan also includes different staff hours and even higher cleanliness standards than before.
“There are very strict guidelines we are following both from the local and provincial governments, and each of our regulatory colleges also have guidelines we have to follow,” says the Centre’s owner.
The excitement is almost like heading back to school in September, with a bit of nervousness.
“We all are very mindful of keeping each other safe, and practicing all the protocols and procedures to the best of our abilities, so that we can continue to stay open,” says Peterson.
The Health Centre owner adds she can’t wait to she their patients since closing in March, many whom they have grown to know well over time.
