Golfers Happily Hit The Links Today

For the first time this season and during a pandemic, Thunder Bay’s two golf courses welcomed back players.

Golf Operations Supervisor Pat Berezowski tells us they’ve made changes to the golf course so that your hands won’t have contact with the pin.

“Your golf ball doesn’t really roll into the bottom of the cup anymore, there is a spacer in there that you are able to grab the ball very easily without taking the pin out,” Berezowski said.

Tee times have also been adjusted to control the amount of players around the club house.

In the past tee times were scheduled ten minutes apart and now they are fifteen minutes apart to help avoid congested areas full of players.

Hand sanitizing stations are also available around the golf courses.
