City Man Arrested In Laundromat Fire

An arrest has been made in connection with a fire at Barb’s Laundromat on North Cumberland Street.

Police say 60 year old Randall Charles Prien of Thunder Bay has been charged with arson.

They tell us Prien was arrested around 11 o’clock Tuesday night.

Following a court appearance on Wednesday morning he was remanded in custody to a future date.

The laundromat fire took place in the early morning hours of April 19th and an investigation discovered the blaze had been deliberately set.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
