Police Looking For Robbery Suspect

A suspect is wanted by Thunder Bay police in relation to a pair of robberies at The Bargain Shop.

They tell us they were called to the store on Victoria Avenue east just before 5 o’clock in the morning, Tuesday, April 21st, to find a man had forced his way in and took off with merchandise.

Then on Friday of that week, police say they arrived at the same store, just before 1 o’clock in the morning, to find the same scenario.

Police note the suspect in the first break in is about 5’10, wearing white shoes with a black symbol, dark Adidas pants with three stripes on the side, a black jacket with a hood, plaid black and grey scarf or bandana covering his face, and black touque with a white symbol on the front.

Police add the suspect in the second break in appears similar, but with sunglasses on the top of his head.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
