People in our community who need help are being encouraged to take part in a new city-wide food bank at the CLE.
It will take place every second Friday, and the Salvation Army’s Major Lori Mitchell tells us it involves all food banks supported by the RFDA.
“This first one will be the trial and we will see how it goes but people are registering through 211 and so that way when they come we can just check off their name and not get any further information. If they are registered we can just give them their hamper and send them on their way,” Mitchell said.
The event runs Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and you must register with 211.
