City Bans Outdoor Burning

Effective at midnight Thursday, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue a fire ban will be in effect on all outdoor burning within the City of Thunder Bay.

The city says the ban on outdoor burning is in keeping with a declaration by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests of a Restricted Fire Zone.

All outdoor burning permits are suspended when a fire ban is in effect with the city emphasizing any outdoor burning during a fire ban will result in prosecution and a substantial fine.
