Fort William First Nation is closing to the public except for residents, members, and those who work on the First Nation.
A statement from its leadership says it will take effect in the coming days to stop the spread of COVID-19.
The Chief and Council are discussing it at Monday night’s meeting, and will announce when the community will become closed to the general public.
They say essential services like gas stations will still be available.
Several other First Nations in the northwest have asked visitors and non-residents to stay away to avoid spreading COVID-19.
