The Farmers’ Market is staying open during the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, as President Kelly Fettes tells us, there are a number of restrictions it has met put in by the Health Unit, such as who is still there.
“Just the food vendors, we have all of our signage throughout the whole place, you wash your hands when you come in and go around the “U”, and come out the other side,” notes the Market president.
She adds every surface has been double, triple cleaned, and the restrictions are in place as to what you can do.
“Even though our dining area was removed, the Redhead and the Chef is still here serving. Everything we have will be in a take out container, and there is no sampling,” adds Fettes.
The Farmers’ Market adds with only food vendors there, other businesses have made other arrangements.
“A number of our vendors have gone to on-line shopping as well. Our clients can email them directly, and they can do on-line payments. A number of our vendors are doing home delivery,” says
As per Health Unit requirements, if you leave, but come back again, even briefly, you’ll have to wash again.
