College Updates Students On COVID-19 Pandemic

Confederation College is providing an update to its students and staff. They thanked students for their patience as they took this week to plan how they would deliver online courses going forward.

While classes will be offered through technology, hands-on labs are suspended until further notice.

Cancelled, Suspended, Changed Programs:

  • Flight training for Aviation – Flight Management (flying) is suspended until further notice.
  • All work and clinical placements will continue wherever possible. Students should follow the direction of the organization where they are placed. Any questions or concerns should be directed to their Confederation College Program Coordinator (Thunder Bay) or their Placement Supervisor (Regional Campuses).
  • Collaborative and Regional Bachelor of Science in Nursing students should follow directions provided by Lakehead University about when and how to access courses. See Lakehead University website.
  • Dual-credit and School-College Work Initiative programs/courses are suspended until April 6, 2020, in alignment with secondary school closures. We will continue to align our decisions for these programs with our local school boards.
  • Confederation College Apprenticeship programming is suspended until April 3, 2020. While it is anticipated that training will resume on April 6, 2020, this is subject to change.
