Online Learning Underway At LU

Online studies have started at Lakehead University as a way to keep students safe during the COVID crisis.

University President Moira McPherson tells us the rollout has gone smoothly.

“Of course we will continue to provide as many supports as are necessary in the coming days to smooth out the process and any bumps along the way,” notes McPherson.

The university’s Vice-President of Administration and Finance Kathy Pozihun believes the effort is being well received by students.

“Our goal is to ensure that every student can make it through their courses that they’re enrolled in and to be able to complete the course requirements using a remote or online…delivery method,” says Pozihun.

The school was closed for two days this week so staff could get the process underway.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
