COVID-19 Cases In Canada Keeps Rising

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across Canada is expected to keep surging past the latest count of 569.

That’s the number from Health Canada as of Tuesday night, with eight deaths reported now.

Ontario is recording 189 cases, but also its first death, possibly related to the virus. That was a 77-year old man in the Muskoka area. The coroner is investigating to determine whether he died of the virus, which he had, or other health conditions.

British Columbia is the other province with a large number of cases, at 186. Health Canada adds three deaths are in BC, with five of the most recent connected to an outbreak of COVID-19 at a long-term care home in B.C.
