Lakehead University’s Student Union has closed The Study Coffeehouse and The Outpost Campus Pub until Tuesday. Events at those two locations on Monday and Tuesday are cancelled.
LUSU is going to reevaluate the situation as it progresses.
The LUSU offices and student centres will remain open on Monday and Tuesday.
LUSU officials recommend that any student club events or activities with more than 250 participants be cancelled in line with Ontario’s chief medical officers recommendation.
They are advising LUSU clubs with smaller events or gatherings to practice risk mitigation strategies.
