Get ready to start shovelling. We are expected to see anywhere from ten to fifteen centimetres of snowfall Thursday.
Environment Canada’s Peter Kimbell expects Thursday’s winds to be pretty wicked as well.
“More likely the wind will be around 30 km/hr, possibly up to 40 km/hr, so I would expect some drifting and blowing snow. I would expect difficulty driving especially in the morning time,” Kimbell adds.
Kimbell says we saw around 15 centimetres in the whole month of February, and Thursday we should be getting that whole amount in a twelve hour period.
The snow is expected to start before dawn Thursday and ends that same night.
