Former city councillor Larry Hebert appeared in person for his latest court date. He sat in courtroom 105 waiting for his matter to be called on Tuesday.
Hebert who is fresh from receiving bail wore a grey sport coat, black dress pants, a purple sweater and a green respect pin.
The lawyer for Hebert asked the judge to put the matter on hold for a month so they could have time to gather information and evidence in the case.
His next court date is set for March 24th at 9:30 a.m.
Hebert was granted bail on January 27th and is staying with a surety, someone who vouches for him.
The 72-year-old was charged with attempted murder in November following what police called a “serious incident’ at a south Vickers Street home.
Police at the time said a man attacked and threatened an individual inside the home and that person was able to run to a nearby home to call 911.
There is a media ban in place covering some of the details of the court proceedings.
