Tow Truck Driver Arrested With Public’s Help

It appears a tow truck driver police arrested for being impaired caused quite a spectacle before being charged.

Police report the Friday evening incident on the Harbour Expressway began when they received a 9-1-1 call about a tow truck with a pick-up strapped on the flatbed. The eyewitness told them the tow truck was weaving across lanes of traffic and hit a snowbank.

They say other calls soon began to pour in until finally, they were able to track the driver to Rosslyn Road moments after the tow truck became stuck in a ditch.

The driver was charged with being impaired by a drug as well as driving while under suspension.
