Virus Kills More Than SARS Outbreak

Health officials say the coronavirus has killed more people than SARS in 2003, as the total number of worldwide deaths reaches over 900.

Two more Canadians have tested positive on a cruise ship docked near Tokyo, while four more have tested positive in the United Kingdom, bringing the total to eight in that country.

The UK has also declared the coronavirus a “serious and immenent threat to public health”.

The virus is also having an economic impact, especially in China as people stay away from work and disinfecting efforts continue in parts of the country.
