One of the accused’s in the city’s second murder of the year is going to be back in court on January 31st.
Cody Echum appeared by video in court this afternoon on a first-degree murder charge.
A second accused a 14-year-old boy, who we are not allowed to name, is also making his way through the court system.
The two had originally been charged with aggravated assault.
18-year-old Austin Robinson died after what police say was a serious assault at a residence on the 300 block of North Syndicate Avenue in the early morning hours on January 9th.
Authorities have not released the cause of death of the victim.
