Thunder Bay has set up several meetings with provincial cabinet ministers over the next two days and is hoping to secure support for several city issues.
Mayor Bill Mauro explained they’ll be meeting with the Ministers of Finance, Economic Development and the Attorney General.
“We’ll go down and we’ll put our oar in the water like a lot of other municipalities and do our best to advocate for the city,” the Mayor said.
The meetings are part of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference in Toronto.
Guns and gangs funding, funding for the city’s proposed turf facility and Bombardier will be top of mind for city officials.
