99.9 The Bay and Country 105’s very own Promotion’s Director Stephanie Belec is up for two Northwestern Ontario Visionary Awards. Belec is nominated for Community Champion and Business or Professional Achievement and tells us it’s an honour for herself and the whole radio station family.
“Not going to lie, I did the happy dance when I found out I was nominated. Really this is a true testament to our team at Country 105 and 99.9 The Bay because without this platform we wouldn’t be able to do what we do in the community and that’s really where we thrive as a company.”
Belec goes on to say this nomination highlights the work she does with local community organizations like “Christmas Cheer, the United Way, Wake The Giant, huge organizations and those are just naming a few. There are over 150 we support in my role here at the radio stations.”
The 2020 awards which are put on by the region’s young professional’s network Shift is taking place tonight at the Valhalla Inn. You can see the list of nominees by clicking HERE.
This is the 5th time the event has been hosted and celebrates the top talent from our region under the age of 40.
