Condolences continue to pour in after the Ukrainian Airlines plane crash in Tehran last week that killed 176 people.
Queen Elizabeth II says she and Prince Philip are sending thoughts and prayers to Canada after 57 Canadians died in the crash.
She says they’ve been “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life.”
The jet crashed on Wednesday after Iranian officials say “human error” led to their armed forces firing missiles at the plane.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of all those Canadians, and indeed other nationalities, who died, and to the many others who have been affected by this terrible event.”
