It appears there is nothing stopping job action by the Catholic teachers in the province
Local spokesperson for Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association Carlo Cappello confirms that two days of talks with the Ford government abruptly ended after only a half a day. He says the mediator in the talks felt the two sides were too far apart to continue.
The breakdown in negotiations means teachers will not be putting comments on report cards and will be holding information pickets before and after school to inform parents about their job action and will not administer the EQAO math testing for grade nine students.
