Toboggan Trail Leads To Charges

Some freshly fallen snow helped Thunder Bay police nab a break-in suspect.

They say early Monday morning officers were on routine patrol in the area of North Cumberland and McIntyre Streets. That’s when they noticed a man hauling a toboggan with some items on it.

The officers followed the footprints to a McIntrye Street address where a man was located with some stolen items.

By retracing the toboggan trail police were able to locate a trailer that had been broken into.

A 36-year-old Thunder Bay man is charged.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
