If you’ve ever wanted to have your writing judged by some of the best authors in the country then you just might want to consider submitting a piece into the Northwestern Ontario Writers Workshop Writing Contest.
This is the 22nd year for the contest, which will be open until February 28th.
You don’t have to have a workshop membership to submit your work, you simply have to write something and send it in through the NOWW website.
This years’ edition of the contest will feature five categories: short fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, prose, and art review. The works will be judged by a selection of award-winning Canadian authors including Russell Smith, Gwen Benaway and Bill MacDonald.
The top prize in each of the five categories will claim $125, with $75 going to second and $50 to third.
