A young city resident’s death is being deemed a homicide in the first murder investigation of 2020.
Just before 7 o’clock Wednesday morning, city police were called to a home on Victoria Avenue between Edward Street and Leland Avenue.
They found a youth, who was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased, along with a 59-year-old man who was treated for his injuries.
Investigators say there was an altercation at the home between a 34-year-old woman and the two victims.
Courtney Marie LaBelle, of Thunder Bay, appeared in court to hear charges of Second-Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.
The deceased’s name is not being revealed until their family is notified.
