A number of local stores and services are closing their doors for New Year’s Day.
Some grocery stores like Metro, Safeway, and Real Canadian Superstore are closed until tomorrow morning. The Intercity Shopping Centre is also closed today.
However, if you need a pharmacy, some Shoppers Drug Mart locations are open. Circle K’s and other similar sized convenience stores are also open.
Libraries, daycares, city provincial and federal government offices will all be closed. Schools, post offices, banks and beer, and liquor stores are also closed today.
City buses are running on a holiday schedule.
