30 more Canadian fire fighters have left for Australia to help that country battle a severe forest fire season.
Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry officer Isabel Chenard tells us they left Thursday, with six of them from Ontario.
“They will be supporting Australia by filling roles such as logistics section chief, two operations officers, and a fire behaviour analyst.”
The information officer adds Canada previously sent 21 personnel December 3rd.
Early December is the first time Canadians have been sent to Australia to fight forest fires.
