Former city councillor Larry Hebert’s attempted murder case continues to travel its way through the court system. His lawyer David Young scheduled a court appearance in person for his client Friday morning so he could move Hebert’s file to a future date. Hebert was brought from the district jail to appear in court room 304, wearing a beige sweatshirt. His next court date is a 45 minute bail hearing on January 7th at 11:00 a.m.
The crown told the judge that Hebert is going over to a future date because ”they are not at the point of having a surety.”
The 72-year-old was charged with attempted murder in November following what police called a “serious incident” at a south Vickers street home. Police say a man attacked and threatened an individual inside the home and that person was able to run to a nearby home to call 911.
There is a publication ban in place covering many of the details of the court proceedings.
