Airport Hopping In Lead Up To Holidays

If you are flying over the holidays it’s a good idea to give yourself some extra time.

CEO Ed Schmidtke says you can expect the airport to be busy. “Leave yourself lots of time. Many airlines recommend arriving 90 minutes before flight departure time. We would say that is good counsel and being here an hour and a half before your flight is a good idea.”

The airport CEO also suggested not wrapping your gifts if you plan to bring them in your carry-on. Schmidtke explained, “cause of course if they think the gift needs to be inspected they’re going to have to unwrap your gift and that’s not going to be pleasant for anybody. So, if you want to wrap before you go, by all means, check your bag.”

Schmidtke goes on to say December is a busy time for them since university and college students are out of school, there are people travelling to warm destinations and there are many that are flying home for the holidays.
