Suspect Arrested In Long Gun Robbery

A 17-year old Thunder Bay boy has been arrested in connection to a convenience store robbery.

Police made the arrest Sunday afternoon.

Police note this relates to a Circle K convenience store heist on Arthur Street east early Saturday morning, November 30, in which they claim two suspects with long guns pointed the weapons at the clerk, and took off on foot with money and store merchandise.

The youth, who police say was on probation, is charged with disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x2, and other offenses. He also cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

An 18-year old Thunder Bay man is already in custody.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
