YouTube’s Top Music Videos by the Decade

Here’s a fun list to wrap up the decade, with a couple of other decades thrown in for good measure. YouTube has unveiled the most viewed videos on their platform from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. Guns N’ Roses dominating both the 80s and 90s, with Sweet Child O’ Mine and November Rain both up over a billion views. The most viewed video from the 2000s may raise some eyebrows. Swedish CGI animated character Crazy Frog’s remix of Axel F (the theme from Beverly Hills Cop) is at almost 2 billion views. That’s got the little kids audience written all over it. My kid is crazy (he he he) about that frog! The 2010s is where the numbers get really crazy. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s Despacito is tops with over 6.5 billion views! That’s insane. It’s actually the most-viewed video of any kind in YouTube history. Check the full lists below along with the top video from each decade for your viewing pleasure!
