Lieutenant Governor Celebrating 50th Anniversary

Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor is in Thunder Bay today to toast the Queen.

It’s part of the City’s 50th-anniversary celebrations. City Clerk Krista Power tells us Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell will be touring the Fort William Historical Park on New Year’s Eve. She will also be hosting the levee on New Year’s Day at the O’Kelly Armoury on Park Avenue from 10:30 until noon.

There is also a free pancake breakfast at the Armoury, and free skating at the Fort William Gardens from 1 to 3 PM.

Power adds Dowdeswell has visited Thunder Bay before and has an interest in the north.
