Confederation College students and employees have raised $44,596 in support of its students, the United Way and “Stock the Bank”, an internal campaign in support of the Emergency Student Fund and Food Bank at the College. A number of fundraising activities helped to raise the funds.
The total amount raised includes $6,740 for United Way’s funded agencies, $10,285 directed to support student awards and other programs at Confederation College and $19,093 directed to “Stock the Bank” in support of the College’s Emergency Student Fund, which includes the Food Bank. Employees and students also collected 7,396 food bank items. Last year, over 300 students accessed the food bank.
For the second year, an option was available to direct funds to support Confederation College’s TEC Campaign, which saw $8,478 directed to the purchase of leading-edge equipment for students in the TEC Hub.
