Thunder Bay’s overdose prevention site is expanding its services at the Norwest Community Health Centre on Simpson Street.
CEO Juanita Lawson tells us they are now operating six days a week instead of five.
Their hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 6 pm. Lawson adds in the new year they will be looking to operate on Sunday as well.
The health centre CEO says the goal remains to help to prevent opioid overdoses among city addicts.
The site also has a new name which Lawson hopes “will connect more” with their clients. Going forward it will be called PATH 525
