Liberal Leadership Hopeful Visits

Ontario Liberal leadership candidate Michael Coteau is visiting Thunder Bay today. The southern Ontario MPP is taking in various private meetings during the day and is meeting with local Liberals tonight at a local Macdonell Street establishment.

The Don Valley East MPP served in the cabinet of the Wynne government from 2013 to 2018. Coteau unveiled an environmental plan during his trip to Thunder Bay and suggests his plan would help the north in a number of ways, “I think we need to look for ways to find opportunities within this challenge and one of the ways is to build new industry, invest in the green tech sector. That’s something that could improve many parts of Ontario including the north.”

Liberals will replace Kathleen Wynne as their leader in the spring of 2020. Candidates declared so far include Coteau, Steven Del Duca, Kate Graham, Mitzie Hunter and Alvin Tedjo.
