Police closed Highway 61 just north of the Broadway Avenue intersection so they could inspect a bridge which they believe was damaged by a big vehicle.
Constable Diana Cole says MTO workers discovered some damage to the bridge this morning which would indicate an over height vehicle hit the bridge sometime yesterday.
The closure lasted until about 3 o’clock this afternoon.
Police are asking for anyone who has information, such as video of what happened, to get in touch with them.
