Family Reunited With Beloved Dog

It was a long 16 days for a Thunder Bay family in finding their dog following its escape from a local kennel during their Malaysia holiday.

Ryan Leonard tells us he kept in touch with people on Facebook after the dog’s flight on October 2nd, including one man who came across the dog.

“At that time on Facebook I posted that if you see her she responds to her name, her name is Buttercup and she responds to the word home. So the guy saw her and called her by her name and asked her if she wanted to go home and she responded.”

The Thunder Bay man adds the dog kept running from people around this area, while they cut the vacation short.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
