City staff are opposing the sale of a portion of a back-laneway near Vickers Park.
People both for and against the project will be speaking to City Council Monday night.
The owner of the Murphy Mansion wants to own the back-lane between McGregor and Isabella Streets because he is concerned about crime and property damage.
Those who are against the project want the laneway to remain open for all to use so they can walk to the nearby Vickers park.
Council can’t make a decision on the matter Monday night because of city rules.
