Poppy Campaign Kicks Off At City Hall

The Remembrance Day poppy campaign is underway in the city following a flag-raising at Thunder Bay City Hall.

Organizer Ted Ciotucha tells us they will be available starting tomorrow and until November 10th at all locations which help the Royal Canadian Legion collect money.

Ciotucha explains by putting on a poppy you “show people you do remember our veterans.”

The money you donate during the poppy campaign goes to the Canadian Legion to help with veteran causes.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
