UPDATE: GTA Residents Face Firearms Charges

A long list of charges including one count of kidnapping for four people from the Toronto area.

City police brought them into custody after an incident over the weekend that involved a firearm.

On Sunday night around 8:30, they got word of a disturbance and possible break-in at a residence on Pearl Street between Lincoln and Ambrose Streets.

The suspects fled the area, but police tracked them down and made what they call a high-risk arrest Monday afternoon.

The accused range between ages 19 and 21, and are back in custody after appearing in court.

One of the accused is now being charged with impersonating another in order to obstruct the police’s investigation. That individual now faces additional charges of personation with intent to avoid prosecution and possession of a firearm and ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
