St. Pat’s, Westgate Threats False

Classes will resume at Westgate CVI and St. Patrick High School tomorrow, after city police looked into threats from last week.

Thunder Bay Police say they’ve found the location of the person who made threats on the app Snapchat, and have determined there was no safety risk to the public.

They were told about the threats Thursday night, which show a picture of what appeared to be a rifle with the caption “watch out Westgate”, followed by a similar threat against St. Pat’s.

Police emphasize they take threats like these seriously, and making false threats could lead to mischief charges, adding parents should talk to their children about posting responsibly on social media.
