AUDIO/VIDEO: Solutions Sought For Crime

Just under 100 people showed up at New Life Christian Church to vent frustration and attempt to find solutions to recent criminal activity in Thunder Bay.

Deputy police chief Ryan Hughes joined a number of city councillors, as well as a few other politicians in attendance.

Ideas included installing cameras in certain areas, as well as more money from other levels of government, cleaning up area neighbourhoods and attempting to help vulnerable people lured into criminal activity.

We asked a number of people for their opinion on what could be done.

One father got up and eventually let off some steam over the situation.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
