Rebecca Johnson is back at City Council meetings, but admits she will have to take things at a slower pace.
The Councillor had been absent around the Council table since late June.
In August, Johnson explained she had lost a large amount of blood when she fell and injured her leg at her cottage in Upsala over the summer.
She says she is still recovering, which has given her a different perspective.
“It has made me realize that the pace that I keep, that I have had for so long, is not possible for me right now, and I’m going to have to really seriously look at what I can be involved in,” noting that she may not be able to participate in everything she has kept up with in the past.
The At-Large Councillor says during her absence, she kept up with Council business and watched all of the proceedings.
Johnson notes she’s glad to be able to participate again, although she is not done healing and had to leave Monday night’s meeting early.
“At the same point in time, it’s a good feeling to be back around the table, to be part of the discussion, to be asking the questions, to be representing the community.”
