Don’t be THAT person…

 

Social media sure has changed how we as Canadians handle elections.
I wonder some times if we’re taking cues from the United States.
With everything going on in politics there, the country is beyond divided.
With it comes a lot of hate. Are we becoming them?

When did it start to be ok, to post your views or your hatred towards candidates you don’t agree with?
Social media, specifically Facebook and Twitter are absolutely filled with it.

It’s one thing to post your own commentary on your own page because you’re free to do so and free to have opinions on anything. But, when you go out of your way to follow someone you disagree with, and then post completely unsolicited hate on that persons profile – it makes you look silly. You’re using social media spreading the wrong kind of message.
