Nobody was hurt in two fires that broke out overnight.
At 12:30, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says an Ontario Street home between Cornwall Avenue and Bay Street suffered moderate damage.
Around 15 minutes later, they were called to Athabasca Street between Atlantic and Southern Avenues.
They say a cardboard compactor was on fire, filling a warehouse with smoke.
The cause is under investigation.
Meanwhile, a fire on West Arthur Street caused heavy damage to the second floor of a home yesterday afternoon.
City firefighters say they are investigating the cause of the blaze, after the call came in around 3:15.
The house was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
A man on the roof of the home was able to get to safety, and has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
