A man escaped a burning house this afternoon on the 2155 West Arthur.
Police tell us shortly after emergency crews arrived around 3:15, they saw the man on the roof of the home.
They report the house was fully engulfed at this point.
Moments later he was able to get onto the detached garage, and eventually made it to safety.
He was taken to hospital for observation.
Firefighters were able to rescue a cat, bird and rabbit from the home.
Authorities are investigating the cause.
