Gladys Berringer Set To Retire From OKC

The head of Our Kids Count is getting ready to retire at the end of the month.

Gladys Berringer has this advice for her replacement.

“I think that’s the key to the success of Our Kids Count, we not only give them an opportunity to say what they want us to have but we also engage them in making decisions on how Our Kids needs to grow.”

On March 30th, Kathryn Hughes will be joining Our Kids Count as Executive Director. As a nurse with 34 years’ experience and a seasoned healthcare leader her most recent leadership roles were as a Director at Home and Community Care and Director of In-Patient Services at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

“I am excited to be able to work with the amazing team at OKC and to give back to our community and to the participants in our programs,” Hughes says.

Berringer has been with Our Kids Count since 1996.

She made the decision to retire because she would like to spend more time with her family.
