City Council heard about the next steps for the fountain in Waverley Park after Monday night’s discussion.
Council looked over the options to repair the Hogarth Fountain, which range from $50,000 to more extensive work totalling $450,000.
The decision won’t be made until a future meeting.
Mayor Bill Mauro emphasized that whichever option they choose, a future update from city staff should explain how they looked for other sources of funding.
City staff note that all three routes will make the fountain safer for maintenance staff to access the space under the structure.
The project is scheduled to be included in the 2021 budget.
Also at City Council, a zoning change for a proposed West Arthur Street hotel was pulled from the agenda, and a $90,000 ambulance purchase was approved.
